Palawan is just drop dead gorgeous. It is my favorite place in the Philippines, hands down. And it's not hard to convince people to visit the island paradise since it's fast gaining popularity as a top tourist destination in the world. Just Google Palawan and you'll see thousands of articles and blogs telling you why Palawan deserves the title of BEST ISLAND in the world.
I've been to Palawan three times in the last three years (twice in Coron and once in Puerto Princesa) and it always leave me in awe. I have yet to go to El Nido but I'm already convinced that Palawan is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
In this post, I wanted to share the reasons why I fell in-love with Palawan and what makes me think you will, too.
The underwater view is breathtaking.
The beaches and islands are to die for.
Puerto Princesa's Subterranean River is the most spectacular underground river in the world!
(Unfortunately my camera couldn't capture the majestic beauty of the caves. But it was a one in a million experience!)
You will never run out of adventures.

The food is delicious and fresh.
It's safe to travel around and local businesses are booming.
The locals are friendly and helpful, and they speak very good English. A plus for foreigners.
The overall experience will heal you.
No matter from what vantage point you look at Palawan, it's just utterly beautiful and refreshing. No wonder many visitors from here and across the globe keep coming back to this island. So what are you waiting for?
